Private Yacht Charter – Family Experience
Broken Bay Yacht Charter offers private, skippered sailing experiences departing from Palm Beach.
These charters are designed as relaxed, flexible days on the water, particularly well suited to families. The focus is on exploring the waterways, swimming, and spending time together in a comfortable, stable environment.
Our vessels are authorised to operate beyond Pittwater, allowing access to Cowan Creek, Broken Bay, and the Hawkesbury River system, including secluded National Park anchorages.
A private day or multi-day experience on the water, tailored to your group.
For family groups, this typically means a mix of cruising, time at anchor, swimming, and simply enjoying the surroundings at a relaxed pace. We can bring the vessel into sheltered bays where it’s easy to swim ashore, explore, or just spend time on board with food and drinks.
For those wanting a longer experience, we also offer overnight and multi-day charters. These allow more time to move through the waterways, settle into quiet anchorages, and experience the area at a slower pace. Days can include swimming, exploring places like Refuge Bay or Jerusalem Bay, and optional activities such as short bushwalks or rock jumps, balanced with time to relax onboard.
Evenings can be spent at anchor in protected bays or positioned closer to shore for access to local dining. The format is flexible and adjusted to suit the group, weather, and overall pace of the trip.

The Vessels – Tabasco & Salsa
Both vessels are Seawind 1160 sailing catamarans. They are well-proven, Australian-designed vessels known for stability, space, and easy movement onboard, particularly suited to family groups and mixed-age charters.
Each vessel accommodates up to 25 guests for day charters. For overnight stays, Tabasco offers four double cabins (up to 8 guests), while Salsa offers three double cabins (up to 6 guests).
Sleeping Arrangements
Cabins are arranged across both hulls, providing separation and privacy for overnight guests. Each double cabin is suitable for two adults or a mix of adults and children depending on the group.
Layout and Living
The vessel is designed around a large, open cockpit with covered seating, creating a central social area that connects seamlessly to the galley and saloon. There are multiple areas to sit, relax, and move comfortably while underway or at anchor.
Wide side decks and easy access to the bow and stern make it straightforward to get around the boat, and there is good access to the water for swimming with a built-in swim ladder.
Galley
The onboard galley is fully equipped for day or multi-day use, including:
– Gas cooktop and oven
– Fridge and freezer, plus an additional day fridge
– Deck icebox for drinks
– Full set of cookware, plates, cutlery, and serving ware
– Tea and coffee facilities
Bathrooms
There are two bathrooms onboard, one in each hull, each fitted with an electric toilet. The vessel also includes a full stand-up shower.
On Deck
A BBQ is located on the main deck, allowing for simple outdoor cooking while at anchor. The layout makes it easy to serve food and drinks directly into the cockpit seating area.
Unlike most Pittwater operators, our vessels are authorised to operate beyond Pittwater, allowing access to the Hawkesbury River system and secluded National Park waterways.
We are also able to go offshore for Whale watching experiences.
